Default 2010 or 2007 for a new implementation?

Hi all,

We just decided to implement SharePoint.

I'm trying to decide whether we should implement MOSS or perhaps jump right to 2010.

We haven't even begun the implementation work, so there will be a few months of work before we'd be doing anything much with 2007, and I'm concerned about the users' experience if I change their whole world by getting them to learn SharePoint in 2007 only to upgrade to 2010 shortly thereafter. There are also a lot of features and improvements to benefit from, but the user experience is probably my biggest concern.

I'm sort of inclined to use WSS for the next couple months, get the units to begin the work of thinking about and maybe also creating their sites, and then either implement fresh in 2010, or possibly migrate any WSS sites that get off the ground through WSS 4 to 2010.

Anyone have any thoughts?

:)Ben

Hi Ben

Using WSS and MOSS 2007 will no diffirence when you plan to migrate to MOSS 2010. If you have the courage and knowledge using MOSS 2007 it is conviniente to you to to use the MOSS 2007, because as it always, Microsoft NEW product is not PROBLEM FREE product unless it been on market for couple of months or years.

regards
